WATERFALL ESTATE

OKHA approached blue7 in 2025 with regards to a roof hung brass flue to be installed at Waterfall Estate Midrand. This brass flue was 8 sided on a taper from 500mm to 900mm over a distance of approx. 1500mm in height. We manufactured a 3mm thick mild steel structure and covered it with 20mm thick fire resistant board. we then clad this in 2mm brass, with and orbital oxidised patina finish. The inside was sprayed heat resistant paint. The base was made from stone with a brass insert skirt. The entire flue itself weighed approx. 500kg.
